About us

   It was formed on the eve of the winter holidays of 2021, out of a desire to promote chamber music in Galati, starting with a concert of seasonal pieces announcing the birth of the Lord, entitled "Christmas Magic" at the National Opera and Operetta Theater "Nae Leonard" in Galati. During the current year, the quartet participated in various cultural events, among which we can mention the concerts held at Shopping City Galați, organized by the National Opera and Operetta Theatre "Nae Leonard" and also a concert held at the Spirituality Museum in Galați.

   The members of the quartet are: Evelina Mehedinți on the first violin, Maria Luiza Dobrea - second violin, Mircea-Viorel Vicleanu - viola and Ștefan Daniel Mehedinți - cello, each of them having in their palmares, numerous prizes at national and international competitions, recitals at various cultural events and collaborations with various symphony orchestras in the country and abroad.

    Thanks to their passion for music and the desire to give the music-loving public unique interpretations of chamber works, the SIMFOART Quartet has prepared for Leonard International Festival works of a high interpretative complexity, which will bring out both the pleasure of playing and the joyful and suspenseful listening of the audience.
